The classes tab on the student details page allows you to amend the classes of a single student. Student can   Students can be added or removed from classes based on the start and end dates of a class or custom dates, which is useful for students who enter the school mid-year or who swap subjects. You can also completely remove students from classes if they have been incorrectly added to a class. 

Students who have been added to a class for a backdated period can have default attendance set for the class rolls, or attendance can be updated from within the rolls after the student has been added to the class.
