Both the New Timetable and Copy timetable options will create copies of an existing timetable, including details, day structure, term structure, non-school days, timetable. The New Timetable option will end date the previous timetable from the point the new timetable is activated. The start date must always be in the future. Using this option will not allow the new timetable to overlap with the current timetable. This option should be used when changes are being made to an existing timetable. The Copy option will create a new version of the existing timetable, but can be activated from any date and will not complete the previous timetable. Care should be taken in using this option to ensure that overlapping timetables are not created, which can result in duplicated class rolls and incorrect attendance.
