**Teacher Training Guide
This page provides information for teachers and PTO Administrators on how to use PTO from a teacher’s perspective.
It includes information on the activities a teacher needs to undertake, as well as the functionality available to support teachers conduct meetings with parents utilising PTO.
These functions can be utilised either by a teacher themselves, or by a PTO Administrator acting on a teacher’s behalf.
Logging In
Your PTO Administrator provides Teachers with their login credentials and determines when Teachers can access PTO.
Once logged in Teachers will land on the Teacher administration page where they can:
Access teacher training material
Join their virtual meetings
Add any physical or virtual meeting information **
Review class/students records and mark interviews as recommended to parents. **
Manage timeslot availability, & view bookings. **
View and extract booking schedules, in various layouts/formats.
** These items can be enabled/disabled by PTO Administrators within each school system in Settings > Teacher Settings.
Before bookings commence
Check your class and student lists for correctness.
Select the Recommended button alongside student you feel a meeting with you by the parent is essential (recommended).
Managing your availability for bookings
Mark time slots as “unavailable' if you know you will not be available at those times.
Multiple time slots can be selected by using the check boxes next to each time slot.
Time slots marked as unavailable will not be available to parents to book.
PTO Administrators can choose to manage teacher ability on behalf of their teachers if they wish. In ths case teachers have view access only in regards to marking themselves available/unavailable.
Booking Information
At any time before, during, or after the event your booking schedule can be viewed and exported.
You can choose variable parameters, and formats, to view and export this information in the fashion that best dsuits your needs.
After bookings
If your school requires attendance of bookings to be marked, you can mark attendance navigating to Go to Bookings and marking the attendance check box.
Parent attendance defaults to Attended, with non-attendance marked by exception
Marking parent meeting attendance is optional for a school and cannot be enforced through PTO. If utilised, please note attendance of a meeting can only be marked after that timeslot occurred.
By default PTO marks all parent’s as having attending the set meeting. Only non attendance needs to be recorded.
Don’t forget to download the PTO app as it a handy tool for teachers. Just download the app and register with your School’s Code
You’ll need your school’s PTO code which is contained in your school;'s PTTO service URL. If you can’t locate talk to your school’s PTO Admin.
