**Release Notes for PTO V2.15 (September 2024)

This page describes the updates implemented with the latest version of PTO.

SSO functionality compatible with the following providers is now available in PTO.

Microsoft/Entra (contact Educonnex Support in all cases)
K-12 Solutions/PIPs
Studentnet/Cloudwork
Wonde/MyLogin
Educonnex (our own Student Information Management Platform)

We may look at other SSO integrations subject to demand so please let us know via email at support@educonnex.education if you would like to see another integration method considered.


Ability for Administrators to Force Archive events

Events can be archived before they are finished, where access to the bookings for the current event is no longer required, and preparation needs to begin promptly for the next event.

Requests for this feature to be enabled for a school must be requested by contacting the Support Team.


Improved software update experience






We are implementing an improved software update process next year, where the first user to log in from your school will only have to wait about 5-10 seconds before they can access the update version of PTO. This will automatically update date your entire system, removing the need for an extended outage window each term.

We'll still do our longer server updates to keep your data secure, but we'll keep these to a minimum, and carry them out at times when user access is very low usage.

We are introducing new functionality to allow schools greater flexability in regard to teacher availability.

Currently if a teacher is unavailabile for a timeslot, they are unavailable for all times slots at that time. This new ‘timeslot specific’ availability will allow you more flexibility when deciding which individual time slots are and aren’t available to be booked.


A link directly to the Teacher Training Guide is now located within each teacher’s dashboard screen.


PTO will now alert you PTO any PTO Admins who have not logged into PTO for:
- more than 1 year; and
- more than 2 years

An option to automatically deleted any PTO Admins dormant for more than 2 years is provided.


We have also implemented several bug fixes and general system improvements, including:

  • Fixed an issue related to gaps between bookings

  • Improved handling of Wonde data transfers that take longer the usual

  • Times for outages will now be displayed in local time setting of school

  • Better booking handling of overlapping time slots of different durations

  • Instructions in the View and Edit Data page will now open the related index in the dedicated help documentation

  • Main administrators will now be prompted to review administrator profiles that haven’t logged in for a significant time

  • Fixed an issue with the email being sent to an administrator to confirm teacher login details being sent out

  • Fixed an issue with the validation of URLs used for video meetings used as the meeting location for teachers

  • Fixed an issue with the Excel extract available when administrators cancel bookings for a teacher

  • Fixed an issue with interpreters being available for a booking

  • Tightened requirements about repeated usage of the same email address to work with new single sign-on options available from this release

  • Added the option to customise the event name used for meetings created with the Microsoft Teams integration that sets up calendar events
