Connections Linked to a Selection
In this page, we'll look at how to see the relationship of any given Selection, to other Selections within the same Selection Process.
Where the information is displayed
To see the Connections for any Selection, to the Selection Process. In the Navigation Pane on the left, expand out the Section and Instruction, then click the specific instance of the Selection that you want to check the links for.
Once you've chosen the Selection, there will be options at the top of the page - choose Connections.
Here is a sample of what the page looks like, where there are no connections.
What the information means
Automatic selections
In the example provide, we are looking at the connections to one of the instances of Business Management (ATAR). From the example, we can see that:
Choosing Business Management (ATAR) in the present location will automatically select ATAR Pathway > Other ATAR Courses > Chemistry (ATAR).
Choosing ATAR Pathway > Other ATAR Courses > Health Studies (ATAR) will automatically select Business Management (ATAR) in the present location.
Choosing Business Management (ATAR) in the present location will automatically select ATAR Pathway > Other ATAR Courses > Human Biology (ATAR), and vice versa.
Disallowed selections
In the example below, we are looking at the connections to one of the instances of Business Management (ATAR). From the example below, we can see that:
Choosing Business Management (ATAR) in the present location will not allow ATAR Pathway > Other ATAR Courses > Politics and Law (ATAR) to be selected.
Choosing ATAR Pathway > Other ATAR Courses > Modern History (ATAR) will not allow Business Management (ATAR) in the present location.
Choosing Business Management (ATAR) in the present location will not allow ATAR Pathway > Other ATAR Courses > Human Biology (ATAR), to be selected and vice versa.
Sections triggered by this selection
In the example below, we are looking at the connections to one of the instances of Chemistry (ATAR). From the example below, we can see that:
Choosing this instance of Chemistry (ATAR) will allow students to see the Section called 'What's Next?'
Capacity limits
In the example below, we are looking at a capacity rule linked to a selection. From the example, we can see that:
There is a capacity rule linked with a maximum of 30 spaces. If you want more details, refer to the Capacities area of our Help Documentation.
Grouped Selections
In the example below, we are looking at the connections to one of Cert II Creative Industries Media. From the example, we can see that:
Choosing Cert II Creative Industries Media, Cert II Business, Cert II Dance, or Cert II Information Digital Media Technology (all in the Instruction called Certificate Courses that is in the Section called General Pathway) will automatically select the others in the same group.
